Roof inspection
For a roof inspection in Quebec City or in one of the surrounding cities, do business with Toiture de la Capitale!
Unless a tree has fallen during a storm or the roof has collapsed under the accumulation of snow and ice, it’s difficult with the naked eye to determine the condition of a roof. That's why a roof inspection is necessary, and it’s needed more often than you might think. Don't hesitate to call on our certified roofing inspectors to get an accurate picture of your roof's condition.
Whether your building has a roof, whether it is residential or commercial, it must absolutely pass the test of a regular roof inspection. By monitoring the health of your roof, we can intervene in a timely manner and propose back-up solutions, rather than costly repairs or major renovations that could be avoided.
A seasonal need
A good inspection, twice a year, will prolong the life of your roof, while helping you balance the maintenance budget of your property. It is a preventive measure that will help detect any abnormalities.
A first inspection of the roof is necessary in the spring, as soon as the snow melts. It is then possible to see if the winter has taken its toll and if the roof's waterproofing is still intact. A second annual inspection should be done in the fall, before the first snowfall.
An inspection of your attic could also be completed, and can determine if the ventilation is working optimally. Poor ventilation could create condensation or mold on your ceilings. The problem might stem from soffits clogged with mineral fibres. Humidity then gets trapped inside of your roof, causing mold. A defective roof fan could also be the source of the problem, as well as inadequate sealing around roofing equipment (vents, fans, flashings, etc.).
In case of an emergency
A roof inspection should be done immediately if you notice any of the following problems: water infiltration or mold inside the building, clogged drains, deterioration of the sealant joints or other cracks, folds, suspicious accumulation of water or ice for more than 48 hours.
One word of advice: don't wait until it's too late to proceed with a free roof inspection. Call one of our licensed and certified professionals now.
